This morning we headed for Whitefish Point along M-123 (Lakeshore Drive) which takes you through Brimley, MI. The Bay Mills Casino is just west of Brimley and we turned into the parking lot to make our yearly deposit to help the local economy. It doesn’t take long…just drop your coins into the slot and keep moving. See you next year!

Our next stop was an old standby, Point Iroquois Lighthouse. Point Iroquois was built in 1857 and is 65 feet tall.

Cheryl is on her way (72 steps) to the top. The lighthouse offers a fantastic view of Whitefish Bay.

It was a beautiful day. We spotted a freighter going through Whitefish Bay, headed west, with several windmills on the Canadian side in the background.

Sunset at Whitefish Point is breathtaking.

The moon and lighthouse light were both shining tonight.

We had a friend join us for our trip around Point Iroquois. Several times he approached us and just stood around.
Tomorrow we plan to visit Tahquamenon Falls and will spend another night at Whitefish Point, MI
